Have Meg react to sudden situations involving your muse!
There were certain things to be expected when a first meeting leads to an impromptu make out session.  Friendship is not one of them.  In fact, as far as Meg was concerned, extended contact was one of the least likely results, given her own proclivities and her frequent traveling habits.  Most cases end with a quick, all too bitter cup of coffee and a certain uneasy escape.  To some extent, it could even be said that she liked that.  It was certainly far easier than whatever this was. Now, this wasnât to say Meg hadnât had friends in the past.  As far as that was concerned, a certain long gone agent sprang immediately to mind.  But the problem with friends, with anyone, was that, most of the time, they grew old and died, while Meg was stuck in a sort of stasis. And, again, they never started out like this had.
It was movie night - something Meg had started long ago in an attempt to learn more about current culture (or, at least, how to act - she was so suffused with different cultures and different time periods that she more often than not felt like an old grandmother despite her apparent age, despite the fact that she primarily kept to herself). Â She couldnât quite say why she had extended the invitation on this particular night - or maybe she hadnât, maybe Wendy had simply arrived with a knock on the door and a bottle of wine (that would certainly fit into current culture, wouldnât it?) - only that somehow theyâd ended up on her couch together.
Meg didnât even remember what it was they ended up watching.  She knew that it hadnât been a movie after all, just one of those television shows that were so prevalent these days (something to do with witches and demons and the world didnât work that way, the Furies werenât like that) - and somewhere in the middle of the fourth season, she noticed the other woman moving closer and, eventually, whether as a commentary on the show itself or as a result of the bottles of wine theyâd shared, falling asleep. This was not how these things went. Not at all.And although it would be inaccurate to say that Meg wasnât even the slightest bit uncomfortable with the situation, it would be just as wrong to say that there wasnât some part of her, however small, that was comforted by it - pleased, even.  Not so far as to say enjoyed it, but----Noticing that, however, was not the most pleasant of surprises.Meg slowly but surely took herself out from under the other woman, replacing herself with a pillow.  (It wasnât the same, but in her experience, it would work just as well.)  She started to tiptoe to her own room, but at a good strong look from Cerberus, she crept back, draping the throw from the back of the couch over the sleeping woman before returning to her creeping.  But she found that she was not comfortable there, either, so instead she returned to the living room, sat in one of her other chairs with a blanket of her own, and restarted the next episode, finally falling asleep herself.
