serena isnt my original name im legally changing it but friends/family have been calling me it for years and they all eventually got used to it except one of my best friends refuses to call me that and still calls me my birth name because the change doesnt suit her lmao. it literally makes me so angry it’s so selfish

yeah i know how you feel. there’s always that one ‘friend’ who thinks it’s weird. and it’s ironic because one of mine has a shortened nickname of her original name and i use it. the name i want her to call me is a shortened version of mine (olive instead of olivia) so i don’t understand what her issue is
