how to reuse nice smelling wax from candles that ran out of wick:
1. get a lil pot, jar, anything really
2. grab one of those tiny birthday candles and glue it to the bottom
3. use a knife or spatula to scrape all of the wax out of the original candle
4. smush it all down in the pot around the birthday candle and try not to leave air bubbles. melt it if neccesary
5. fill it up as much as you can and light the candle to smooth out the top
6. congratulation, you now feel like a medieval peasant making candles all on your own being clever and resourceful. plus the nice smell didn't die with the wick.

REVIEW: SMALL TOWN, BIG MAGIC by HAZEL BECK
2/5 ⭐⭐
Oh dear. This story was a real downer. I gave up on it at 30%.
I tried my best to push through to about 200 pages, and it just kept getting worse. The main character, Em, was absolutely terrible!! As she discovers her powers, she develops narcissistic tendencies. She handles that first attack of 'adlets,' and all she can say to her friends who are protecting her is how she's the one who killed them all, not them. YIKES. And what’s up with her and that town? She loves it so much that she puts it above everything else? She questioned why her family left, and of course, she doesn’t know the real reasons, but she just couldn't believe they would leave the town. The town seems like a real drag, if you ask me. There's supposed to be a love interest, but I didn't feel it at all. He’s described as not smiling and being serious, but grumpy x sunshine is one of my favorite tropes, and that was just terrible.
I'm just really upset that I actually own the physical copy of this book and just bought the 2nd one. I’ll wait until next year to attempt Rebekah’s story.
Overall, this was so difficult to get into. The concept was there, but the execution was abysmal.
