The basics of circle casting
This oneās for all the baby witches.
Everyone casts their circle a little differently, here are the things that you always should include in your casting, and some other stray tips š. Circle casting is extremely important to safely conducting rituals or spells.
Sweep the ground with a broom, or even your hands. This is a symbolic (but important) gesture to get rid of stray energies and clear the energy.
Next, you should smudge the area with sage or sweet grass, or smoke it out if you know how. If you donāt have access to the materials required for this, use an alternate method to cleanse it.
To mark the circle itself, you can use branches, flowers, salt, candles, or an envisioned line.
Invite the four watchtowers of water, earth, fire and air to protect you while you carry out your magick. You may like to use salt, incense, water and candles to represent them, but this is optional. Move clockwise and say each elements name aloud.
Invite in any other deities or forces you want to work with.
To close the circle, move anti clockwise and thank each element and force.
You may wish to leave the circle intact to keep the residual energy, or not, itās totally your choice.
