Hi Witches, you guys are the best, my last post was thanking you for 25 followers, now iโm almost at double! I really hope you guys like this pride flag that I made, Itโs a witch pride flag for those who feel that their magick is connected to their sexuality or gender identity, a coping mechanism for not being accepted, or who just want to have a way to show that they are proud to be a queer witch. I know that not all witches are part of the LGBTQ+ community, but many are, and witchcraft and cottagecore can be big parts of the lesbian community. I also want to point out that I made a typo, In the meanings of black on the pride flag I said โno gender, no sexuality andย no romantic attractionโ when I should have used โorโ instead of โandโ. In an effort to be more active on this account
So, in trying to build myself as a witch, I did a simple full moon ritual/spell on the night of the 11th, made a bottle of full moon water, and charged the crystals I felt called to for the coming transitions.
In the baby food jar is a mix of herbs and spices from my kitchen meant to pull in and attract during the new phase of my life. There's a mix of:
Salt (Himalayan and table) - purification, grounding, healing.
Coffee grounds - fresh from that morning, grounding, protection, warding
Cinnamon - fire for life, attracting abundance/prosperity/luck, warmth, courage
Peppercorns - grounding, protection
Vaporized weed grounds - sativa strains used for energy and motivation, indica strains used to soothe and calm.
Chili pepper flakes - To bank the heat of endurance, the fire of life
Thyme - luck, money, psychic properties.
Rosemary - protection, purification, used in replacement of bay leaf to attract prosperity.
Charging the powder is two rings of crystals, including:
snowflake obsidian (grounding, protection, warding),
Rose quartz (self-love, investment into meaningful friendships),
Bumblebee Jasper (self encouragement/acceptance, motivation),
Labradorite (activating psychic/magical abilities),
Smokey quartz (a constant filter of energy, transforming negative to positive)
Amethyst (psychic/magical properties, a nod to my grandma.)
Malachite (money, health, abundance, prosperity)
The powder set and charged in the crystal grid for two days prior to the full moon. On the night of, at 11:10pm, I lit the candle and let it burn until 11:13pm. Then I put it out.
I'm pretty proud of this spell, honestly. I think when it comes time to do this again next year, there's a few things I'll change, but that's why this is called a practice.
These are all ingredients I had around my house and crystals I had already. Rosemary can substitute any herb, clear quarts any other crystal. Woohoo for college student creativity right?
