Encanto would be very different if Mirabel's gift....was dark voodoo.
Abuela, her sisters, her parents, etc would be very unsettled that the candle gave her such a taboo gift.
Shadows obey Mirabel's every whim.
Voodoo dolls decorate her room.
Sigyles all over her dress.
Leather bound books, bones, jars of creepy stuff, shrunken heads of animals that died.
Her community fear her. Calling her a witch.
Isabellas flowers die in her presence, Luisa and the donkeys flinch seeing her stroll past.
She even has a black cat as a companion.
