He wasn’t proud of it, but with the recent incidents it was the only way he was able to feed himself, for the prince had been dethroned, disowned from his family for making a fool of the royal name. ‘Too friendly with the maidens, head in the clouds too often to be taken seriously’ his father had claimed, as he explained his decision. Of course it all seemed ridiculous to Henry, but he could do nothing about it, and now he stay cold, hungry, and tired on the streets.
He successfully swiped what he had planned, quickly dashing off in attempts to lose the angry baker, whom was now chasing him down the dirt road. Too focused on escape, the young man did not notice the young maiden he was coming in close to before it was too late. He crashed into her, dropping everything hidden under his shirt as he did so. He hissed at the new pain that shot through his head once he fell, opening his eyes slowly and freezing when he saw the woman below him, “I’m so sorry ma’am, I didn’t see you there, are you alright?” he asked in a worried tone, checking his shoulder for a moment assuring that he had lost the man chasing him.
