‘ i feel very sad. ’
watership down
IN HERE, far away from prying eyes, she could unravel. A flower whose stem bled, broken, each petal shattered without a means of mend. Our hero’s silence bolstered, never faltering. It weren’t his place to hushabye her pain, to alleviate what burden her cross gave; that being his weakness. Palm curled into a fist, clenching from sheer frustration of being utterly useless at a time like this. What good was a knight, who essentially, couldn’t keep his Princess out of harm’s way ??
Aquatic eyes gazed aside, brimming with inner turmoil. It was then, if merely by fate, a silent princess bloomed beneath an incandescent silver moonlight. Link gazed, capturing an idea; leaning forth & pinching an index & thumb, by the stem the flower had been plucked. If something could take her troubles away, it would be this flower’s beauty for it mirrored her own. A princess of a kingdom so large could not falter, as neither could her knight when dark times arrived.
Hovering such beauty in front of her eyes, Link did not smile but waited for her to take it. This flower was the symbolism of his actual care for her wellbeing, that she too may bloom in this wild cloister called : Hyrule.
