it seems i must redo the flower meanings... oh no,, worldbuilding,, my worst enemy XD
so i'm working on the hanahaki fic rn, and i wanted to expand a little on the process. i'd already written 37.4k words for it, put the fic down for a few months, and when i picked it back up again i realised it needed to be redone. it's not bad (it's actually quite good!) but it needs to be fleshed out. it needs more.
now i've started on the outline of the second draft and after writing down the basic story beats i'm fleshing out the points by going through the WIP and summarising it all, noting down important things. i'm adding in new details here too that will be present in the second draft, developed with all the knowledge of the story i have now in hindsight. the past one and a half months i've also been doing OCD research, for my own sake but also for the story. with the knowledge gained i have a much more clear view of how harry's OCD is going to manifest and how OCD and Hanahaki will mirror each other.
i've got 4.6k words and counting for the outline, and it'll be at least double that when i'm done, if not more. i'm really loving this process, a bit of a non-smutty reprieve from the kinky soup that is my brain on kinktober :)
bc my brain is kinky soup at this point and i got a super lovely comment yesterday i worked on the hanahaki fic today, which meant fleshing out the outline and adding at least 2k words to it. i'm also thinking about products for the potion shop, and of course there's the OCD research i'm doing
