Riley had been crying for what felt like hours. Curled up on the small sofa with a plush teddy pulled tightly to his chest. He hid himself into the blanket when the other walked in, wanting to hide his tears.

ADAM’S FIRST day back to school goes like usual. he meets his friends near the etnrace and the group lingers there for some time. they talk about almost everything under the sun–almost everything, adam makes an easy decision to not mention his summer fling because he knows it’ll lead to more questions than his ready to answer. one of his friends cuts off the conversation to point out a new face walking to them. he blinks when he sees the girl and it doesn’t take him a second to recognize her–ellaria. he frowns and blinks (multiple times), gulping a breath when they point out how pretty she is and proceed to laugh amongst themselves. he knows they’re loud but hopes it’s not enough to grab her attention. “guys, maybe calm it down. she’s walking towards us,” adam suggests with a subtle warning glare.

looking up, hero’s half startled, half confused seeing them right behind them. she’s pretty sure they’ve never met before ( at least hopes not, because if they had, she had surely had way too much wine to forget ) but either way shoots them a small smile. “hey...” it’s slow and cautious, practically why are you here with a polite spin on it.

it’s impressive how such a small girl could make such a large impact on a bottle. taking shits with everyone who offered, and playing games she had never heart of until that night, it’s no shocker hero managed to be completely smashed. she wasn’t the type to drink liquor. usually just wine, maybe a mixed drink if she was feeling especially risky. but with the events of the night that led her to walk in the house in a relationship and in that moment single, she decided it was time to break one of her rules. walking up to someone in the party, drink in hand, she gives them a bright smile ( much wider than it should be due to her new heavy drinking ), and placed a hand on their arm. “hey there” she starts off, words far from crisp as they slip from her lips. “look, my night has kind of sucked. but you’re cute. want to try and make it better?” hardly a smooth or promising proposal, but she didn’t exactly care that much in the moment. she was much more concerned with just moving on.

"kian, get up. i made your favorite birthday breakfast." she cooed, leg draping over the males as she continued to urge him to get up by pressing light kisses to his chest. "i will give it to the dog, if you do not get up." the female warned, as the puppy jumped up on the bed.
