60 years ago today, the Winter Dance Party rolled into the Kato Ballroom in Mankato, MN. Well, that was after a 394 mi trek in sub-zero temperatures. This was the longest leg of the really ill conceived itinerary for this tour...but not by much. The weather already started taking its toll on both the musicians & unfortunately, the busses.
