These are the reference sheets for characters for an Adventure Time alternate universe I made that I was originally going to turn into a fan comic but I got halfway into drawing it and got so burnt out artistically that I had to take a break and now I'm worried about trying again so I'm writing it in fanfic form instead! It's called Escapade Time on Ao3 and you can read the first chapter here.
I changed up the canon designs of Candy Queen and Winter King a little to fit the lore I made for them(You'll see what the lore is when I get further into writing) So that's why I made ref sheets for them as well. You'll also probably notice that some of them have parts blacked out. I'll show you guys what's under those after I actually reveal the lore with them in the fic.
Also my art has improved a little since I drew these, so I might update them/just draw some more art of them later.
If you have any questions about the characters or the universe feel free to send me asks or comment on the fic! I will very happily answer them.
I once read somewhere that the findings of biology put a “barrier between humanity and nature.” Perhaps the author felt, like many of us do, that science implies detachment. It does to me, but only as a filter that sifts out the splendid nuggets from chaos and those that are revealed from those that are merely imagined. Far from being a distancing, the science of biology is the opposite. It comes from an intense desire to get to know something intimately: you can hope to get closeness with the real thing, unless you know its contours.
