He hunched forward, trying to cover his ears better with shoulders. He had his hate pulled down over his ears and the back of his head, but he felt the cold practically burning his forehead. He was happy that you had talked him into taking the coat that hung over him reached just beneath his knees. He reached up with gloved hands and pulled up his scarf to better cover his nose and cheeks. He shuddered as the cold wind picked up even faster and started to become a burning type of cold. But no matter how bundled up he was, he could still feel the cold.

But it didn’t matter. None of the cold mattered to him as he waited for the bus. He only had one thing in mind. He only cared about hurrying home as soon as he could and wrapping himself back in your arms. He stuffed his hands back in his pockets and closed his eyes against the snow. He could see it already.

You, leaning against the wall, trying your best to stay awake as you waited for Taehyung to come home. You would be wearing your new white dress, looking like an angel in the beautiful lace. He had been there when you bought the dress. You had tried on five dresses already. You had something negative to say about all of them. Whether it was that the dress made your hips look too big, made you look fat, or the dress made you look too short.

“How about this one, jagi?” Taehyung asked as he randomly pulled out a white dress from the rack beside him. You looked at skeptically, but you wanted to make him happy. You took it and turned back to the dressing room. He felt bad as he saw your shoulders hunch forward. However, the moment you stepped out, he could tell your mood switched one-eighty. You sashayed out of the dressing room. His mouth fell open, not even trying to hide it, as his eyes skimmed over you. Your legs looked long, longer than ever before, the dress hugged your hips and waist; flattering you completely.

As you would stand against the wall, you would look like an angel. Your eyes would be half-lidded; giving you a look of sweet bliss. He would walk further into the room, greeted by the scent of sweet sugar cookies that you had spent hours on, and the sight of an ornately decorated Christmas tree. He would smile at you, dropping his bag at the doorway and hurrying to scoop you up in his arms.

He would spin you around, holding you tightly and kissing you all over the face. The sound of your giggles would fill the room like silver bells. “Ah, jagi! I am just so happy to be home!” He would cry out loudly as he crashes onto the couch and pulling you on top of him. You would stare down at him with your beautiful, loving eyes. Your eyes would completely capture him.

The thought of your eyes, the warmth in them made his heart burst with an overwhelming love. And that was all he needed. All he needed was the warmth of his love for you to get through the cold. He could barely feel it any more. His cheeks burned from the blush that had crept up as he pictured you in your white dress. He smiled under his scarf, continuing to picture you as the wind finally calmed and brought the snow to a normal vertical downfall, opposed to the swirling snow tornados that had started.

Just as he began to feel warm, he heard the sound of the bus pulling up in front of him. He opened his eyes and saw the bright headlights cutting through the darkness. He climbed in quickly and took a seat in the warm vehicle. As soon as his fingers were warm enough, he pulled out his phone and dialed the first number that popped into his mind. The ringing seemed to take ages as his heart raced to warm him even more. Finally, he heard your sing-song voice. “Hello? Taehyung? Are you on your way home?” You asked; having to scream over the sound of holiday music playing in the background.

“Yes, jagi, I’m on my way. Put a fire on and get the blanket fort ready. I want to cuddle all night.” He told you in his typical excited tone.
