The C-5M is the largest aircraft in the United States Air Force inventory and Travis Air Force Base is one of 5 bases that the C-5M calls home. The 2022 Wings Over Solano was held at Travis Air Force in Fairfield California May 14-15 with an estimated attendance of 110,000 including my west coast damsel and myself. Travis Air Force Base has an impressive fleet of Boeing C-17 Globemaster III’s and Lockheed Martin C-5 Galaxy cargo planes that did several Parade of Heavy’s air demonstrations. There were 2 F-15C Eagle fighter jets on display at the Wings Over Solano at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield amongst the many craft at the airshow/open house.
