Since I've finally decided to dive into the world of Flat Racing, I figured I should do it right and make sure I have some quality horses.
Thus, began the search for a stud! When Nova Kneib/Emily Root on EquialitySims offered up the amazing WiseDan as a stud for me to use. I was over the moon with this opportunity and immediately jumped at it! I already had my mare of choice in mind as the dam. I have a beautiful OTTB mare named Caliburn with amazing conformation, and I've always wanted a foal from her but she's in the prime of her competition years.
Not wanting to interrupt her current Show Jumping & Eventing career I decided to go the route of using a surrogate mare. Which is where one of our sweet Hanoverian mares, MHE Peace Element, came into play. She is young and a maiden mare but the vet completely cleared her and saw no major risks ahead.
Fast forward many vet bills and all the headaches ahead, we come to yesterday when my sweet new baby came into the world...
When I laid eyes on this filly for the first time I started to cry, granted I was half a bottle of merlot in because it was my friends birthday... She was everything I was dreaming of and more. She was already trying to stand and was standing probably the fastest I've ever seen.
Such a strong little leggy thing, and she's all mine. I cannot wait to watch her grow and I cannot wait to see this girl killing it on the track.
