#windswept sky

There is a windswept sky,

Swirling in the facets of our lives,

All these colors, mixing, torturing the ways in which we used to believe,

Our forms ingrained in makeshift scenes,

Lying and telling each other we're fine,

Collecting deceit on our skin like battle scars.

Was it always this hard?

Staining our eyes in a hue,

That obscures what we used to see,

What did I used to see?

What did i ever believe,

I know so many things and they all lose meaning at the same time,

collected like gold and now they are broken,

The only fool here is me,

My gold to bury into the ground.

Graves for all the choices i've made.

I was built on excess,

Memories crash and then there is a hum,

All the scenes are pretty,

We sink deep.

Nothing stays, and we change like the incoming tides,

Sweeping sand out to sea,

Sweep me out to sea too. please.

There is a windswept sky,

Swirling up above painting us in colors,

We know we don't belong in them,
