β§βΛβΰΌβ§βΛ Smoke, Neon, and Late Nights: Bexβs Aesthetic β§βΛβΰΌβ§βΛ
bex moves like someone whoβs danced through every fire she lit herself. standing with a body built for leather jackets and lowlight confessionals, she owns every room she walks into β even if itβs just to leave it burning. tangled waves, kohl-rimmed eyes, and chipped black nail polish; her look screams βdonβt save me, i bite.β her tattoos peek out like secrets she wonβt tell twice. she lives in combat boots and stolen glances, always one drink away from either kissing you or ghosting you.
β§βΛβΰΌβ§βΛ Wreckage and Rhythm: Bexβs Soul β§βΛβΰΌβ§βΛ
sheβs a firestorm in mascara and a miniskirt β impulsive, emotionally guarded, and fluent in red flags. bex doesnβt trust easy and doesnβt stay long. her loyalty is rare, but fierce when earned. she loves hard, hurts harder, and never forgets who made her bleed. music is her language, silence is her tell. if you think youβve got her figured out, youβre already too late. beneath the bravado is a girl still learning how to forgive herself.
β§βΛβΰΌβ§βΛ Built on Bruises: Bexβs Story β§βΛβΰΌβ§βΛ
born and bruised in san diego, bex grew up watching her mother survive one heartbreak at a time. her father? gone before she could spell his name. she left home at seventeen, got married too young, and learned too late that love doesnβt mean safety. after the fallout with lila, windsor bay was supposed to be a pit stop β but the cityβs nightlife took her in like one of its own. now she pours drinks for strangers, promotes parties she rarely stays at, and tries to outrun the version of herself she swore sheβd never become.
bartending brilliance: fast hands, sharper tongue. she can pour, charm, and cut off the drunkest jerk without breaking a sweat.
promotion queen: knows how to pack a room and keep it pulsing. her contacts are gold, and her events are always on the edge of unforgettable.
emotional intuition: reads people like setlists. knows when youβre lying, when youβre breaking, and when you need the strongest drink in the house.
survivorβs instincts: sheβs been through the worst and still came out swinging. sharp-witted, street-tough, and fiercely independent.
nightlife navigation: windsor bay after dark is her domain. she knows the backdoors, the after-hours, and what the call is when things go sideways.
β§βΛβΰΌβ§βΛ Who She Bleeds For: Bexβs Relationships β§βΛβΰΌβ§βΛ
lila mendoza (soon-to-be ex-wife): first love, biggest heartbreak. the ashes still smolder.
her mother: distant. love wrapped in guilt and voicemail check-ins.
found family: the bartenders, DJs, bouncers β theyβre the ones who know her real name and when to pull her off the ledge.
past flings: a mixtape of bad decisions and beautiful regrets. she doesnβt do forever β not anymore.
β§βΛβΰΌβ§βΛ Lips That Lie, Eyes That Donβt: Bexβs Quotes β§βΛβΰΌβ§βΛ
βsome people crave closure. i crave silence.β
βi break things when i care too much β itβs a habit.β
βyou canβt fix me, but you can dance with me until i forget why iβm broken.β
βiβve got a soft heart wrapped in barbed wire β approach accordingly.β
βlove doesnβt scare me. losing myself in it does.β

βΊ BIOGRAPHY
TW; Death mention, Struggles with sexuality/acceptance
Allison is defined by a profound need to uncover hidden truthsβabout the world, about her past, and most importantly, about herself. She is drawn toward mystery not just intellectually, but spiritually and emotionally. She embodies the Seeker archetypeβalways searching, always questioningβbut with the soul of a Mystic, who believes the hidden is sacred. Allisonβs self-concept is composed of clashing dualitiesβprivilege and rebellion, visibility and secrecy, intellect and belief. Her early life was dictated by external expectation, leaving her with a deep ambivalence toward structure and authority. Yet, once she made the decision to break away, she did so with unwavering conviction. Her sense of self may feel unstable at times, but she is never passive in her self-definition.
Allison learned young how to perform: to hide her queerness, her grief, her fascination with the occult. This has made her an adept social chameleon, able to navigate elite spaces with charm and poise. But beneath that lies a profound hunger for authenticity, a desire that now governs her adult life. Her current workβand the emotional risks she takesβare all aimed at reclaiming what was once suppressed. Allison is both deeply romantic and deeply guarded. Her formative relationships (a distant father, a cold stepmother, a deceased birth mother) conditioned her to expect abandonment or manipulation. She longs to be known, but fears what will happen when she is. This push-pull dynamic is reflected in her relationship with Zara: an intense emotional bond she both embraced and feared. Allison's attachment to memory, lineage, and myth is not just scholarlyβit's emotional.
She relates to the dead, the forgotten, and the haunted because she sees herself among them. She may struggle with living people, but she has profound intimacy with whatβs gone. Allison blends intellect and instinct with unusual fluidity. She is analytically sharpβtrained in anthropology, folklore, and cultural theoryβbut she also trusts dreams, symbols, and gut feelings. This synthesis allows her to work in both academic and esoteric domains without contradiction. Allison doesnβt just gather facts; she decodes patterns. Sheβs drawn to systems of meaningβrunes, Tarot, poetryβbecause they offer frameworks for understanding emotional chaos. Her mind organizes reality symbolically, turning personal trauma into mythic narrative.
Outwardly poised, Allison manages her emotions through intense self-control, ritual, and intellectualization. Internally, however, she experiences a maelstrom of longing, grief, rage, and love. Her podcast and research are emotional outlets disguised as academic work. Not clinically depressed, but marked by a persistent low-grade sorrowβa residue of exile, unresolved mourning (her mother, Zara), and the ache of unsatisfied longing. This melancholy lends her a poetic sensibility but also inhibits her from fully embracing the present.
Allison does not believe in moral binaries. Her values are shaped by empathy, intuition, and personal truth. When forced to choose between decorum and honesty, she chooses honestyβoften at great cost. She is willing to dismantle institutions, relationships, and even herself in pursuit of truth. Her moral decisions often resemble mythic choices: the daughter who leaves the palace, the witch who chooses exile, the lover who walks through fire. These inner narratives influence how she sees herselfβas someone meant to bear pain for the sake of transformation.
People are drawn to Allisonβher beauty, her intensity, her intelligenceβbut very few get inside her inner circle. She can charm a room, but connection is rare and sacred to her. She thrives in one-on-one intimacy but finds social performance exhausting. Because she was once silenced, she is drawn to the silencedβqueer ancestors, folk practices dismissed as βirrational,β histories erased. She feels responsible for these voices and often takes on a kind of archivist or midwife role to lost narratives.
βΊ HEADCANONS
Collects antique Tarot decks and spirit photography from the 19th century.
Favorite poet: H.D. (Hilda Doolittle).
Keeps a journal she never lets anyone readβhalf anthropology notes, half spells.
She has a secret stash of vintage postcards from occult shops and old libraries, which she sends to herself as reminders of places she dreams of visiting.
Her phone wallpaper is a faded photo of a Victorian-era spirit photographer she admires.
When nervous, Allison unconsciously taps her fingers in a rhythm that matches old folk songs she studied in college.
She collects vintage fountain pens but only writes her most important journal entries with a specific emerald-green one.
Allison has a tiny potted lavender plant on her windowsill that she talks to, believing it soothes her energy.
Sheβs terrible at small talk but is an excellent mimic and can perfectly imitate a dry British accent for sarcastic inner commentary.
Whenever sheβs deep in research, she wears a mismatched pair of earringsβone shaped like a moon, the other a star.
Her idea of a perfect day off involves a mix of thrift store hunting for books and binge-watching old black-and-white horror films.
She once tried making her own incense blend but accidentally created something that smelled like burnt rubber; she still keeps it because it βreminds her of failure and growth.β
When writing podcast scripts, she reads them aloud to her cat for βperformance practice.β
She has a playlist of ambient soundsβlike crackling fireplaces, rain on windows, and distant church bellsβthat she plays to help her focus.
Allison keeps a secret file of weird, little-known folk superstitions she wants to try out someday.
She has a superstition of never crossing running water without touching a hidden charm sewn into her coat.
On birthdays, instead of parties, she writes handwritten letters to herself reflecting on the past year and future hopes.
LENGTH OF TIME IN WINDSOR BAY:Β Born and raised, left after high school, returned a few years ago.
HOUSING: Owns a home in the suburbs.
OCCUPATION: Owner of The Book Nook
The Hawthorneβs kept to themselves, which is probably why Vivienne never pictured Windsor Bay as anything but her hometown. It wasnβt exciting, or interesting, or anything special. It was boring to Vivienne. Keeping to themselves made them be a pretty close-knit- family; minus Theodore. Theodore Hawthorne, Vivienneβs father, was an elusive man. He was always in and out of their lives, taking what he needed as he went. Vivienne, who always wanted more for the family unit, helped her mother in whatever ways she could as the (if not one of the) oldest. She enjoyed it immensely, taking the big sister role to heart, but that didnβt mean Viv had any desire to stay. Windsor Bay was full of familiar, nostalgic memories, but it never felt like home.
Viv moved across the country to Massachusetts for college, and simply never really left. She graduated, met her (now ex) wife, and fully intended on never leaving Boston. There was always something to do in Boston, someone to see and talk to in Boston. It was so unlike Windsor Bay, and while she stayed in contact with her mother and siblings back home, there was never a reason to make her visits too long or frequent or focus too much on its shores.
After getting married and settling down with a cushy writing job at a local community organization, things went pretty well for Viv. She was living the type of life she always imagined she would, and having a life of her own away from the sprawling walls of the Hawthorne home was better than expected. Until the divorce.
It hit them like a slap in the face; they suddenly wanted different things. Namely, Vivienne realized she wasnβt going to settle with never being someoneβs mother. And while it was the hardest moment of their lives, they amicably and sorrowfully divorced. A strangely quick process later to keep things as amicable as possible, and Vivienne was suddenly alone.
Boston didnβt feel like Boston anymore, and suddenly feeling like she was out of options even when she wasnβt, she ran back to the place she used to know. Once back in Oregon, she adopted her daughter and became a mother for the first time at 35. She adopted 16-year-old Mia from upstate Oregon, and since they both needed a fresh start, Windsor Bay was where they settled.
Miaβs been out of the house and away at college for a few years now, and suddenly not sure what to do with herself, Vivienne traded in her empty-nesting syndrome and office job for a used book store, anxious to put her time and energy into something new. The Book Nook becomes her baby while her 20-year-old baby is in the city that never sleeps, and she absolutely puts out a few extra books about witchcraft and magic just to keep people who still care about Hawthorneβs name and backstory on their toes.
Has maybe been on two (2) actual dates since she returned to Windsor Bay, not wanting to go down another path that ends up in total heartbreak. That doesnβt mean she doesnβt seek out companionship in other ways, though.
Has 2 cats, a bonded pair of black cats named Bonnie and Clyde that she couldnβt pass up on.
Hates being alone with her thoughts!!! Is busy 89 percent of the time.

"Drunken leaves is the most amazing spot if you are a big tea drinker. I like to have tea whether it's hot or iced and what makes it so special is that it has the biggest variety of tea flavors. And if you're ever looking for a different type of flavor then they are willing to find it for you."
βAre you a leader or a follower?β
"It's in my blood to be a leader. I was never one to be a follower. I think it's important to have followers in the world, but it's not something that I ever want to be. I can be one when I'm learning something new but honestly I am born to be the leader and show others the way."
βWhatβs it like, living in Windsor Bay? Did you ever picture yourself settling down here or did you always know this would be your home?β
"I was born and raised here so yes, I have always pictured myself settling down here and I knew that this always felt like home. I've met some amazing people throughout my many years here and I don't want to leave Windsor Bay. I have so many memories here that I feel like it's too much to give up."

βWhatβs your family like? Are you still close, or have you blocked all their numbers?β
"I'm not close with any of my family. They basically shut me out when I decided that I didn't want to follow what they wanted me to do. I wanted to be my own person and make my own mistakes and learn. So I took all the money I could find and went to baking school and I'm so happy I did it. I moved here after college in hopes that they wouldn't come find me."
βWhatβs your family like? Are you still close, or have you blocked all their numbers?β
"My siblings and I have a group chat with one another. Ever since losing our parents we make sure to check in with one another at least once a day. We may not all answer at the same time of day due to different timezones and different lives but the effort is certainly there. We have to remain close with one another because it's what we have."
βWould you say youβre easy to get along/work with? Why or why not?β
"Yes. A lot of people would say that I am super easy to get along with at work because well... I do a lot of the work and it's never something I hold against my coworkers. I know that we are all out to do the same thing and if me doing more work is going to make sure we make it through the rush and everything then we are going to be successful."
βDo you have any regrets? What are they?β
"Actually. It's funny that you ask that. I do have a lot of regrets in my life. The biggest regret that I have though is that I had a best friend who was going to travel overseas after high school and I was too scared to go out of the country but I wish I did it. I want to go visit her but would love for her to come here even."
βItβs the little things in life; tell me three things that bring you a great deal of joy or put a smile on your face.β
"I don't know if we have enough time here to talk about the things that bring me a great deal of joy. I mean... My family is the easiest one to mention. They are what keeps me going. Another thing is constantly listening to music. Music is something else that motivates me to get through my day. I'm lucky to have work partners who appreciate the same kind of music. the last thing are my coworkers. They remind me of what it's like to genuinely care and do whatever we can to helpΒ one another out."
Biography:
Brayden was known as the kid that was always smiling. He was known as smiley PJ which started from one of his gym teachers when he was in elementary school. He was the youngest of the James family with just an older brother. He had two parents who definitely had their bumps along the way but at the end of the day they really did love one another.
In school, Brayden didn't have all the friends that his older brother had since his older brother was all into sports and PJ was the farthest you could get away from sports honestly. He enjoyed watching football, hockey, and baseball but he never wanted to actually play them. He was his brother's biggest supporter though when he was at his brother's sports games.
College was where Brayden was going to be able to be who he was and he was able to become more social. When he got to college, he quickly became friends with someone who was in a fraternity and it he was introduced to so many people who accepted him for who he was, even though he was a bit chunkier and he was pansexual. He became a member of the fraternity and made so many friends and eventually graduated with his bachelor's in culinary arts and culinary arts management in a matter of three years. While he was in college though, his mother became ill but didn't tell him until after his last spring break when he came home and he found his mom in the hospital receiving treatment.
After graduating, even though he had the opportunity to go all over the world to cook with someone but he decided to hang back and take care of his mom while his father was working nights because it paid more and his mom wasn't able to work. He was working in an office job in the day so that he could be with his mom at night while his dad worked. Even though she was sleeping, he wanted to be there with her.
She made a full recovery and everything seemed great. Both of his parents had decided to move to Windsor Bay and have their lives there. This is when Brayden was able to go back to the culinary world and he was starting to. build a life for himself. It's what was making him a good amount of money and even though he wasn't with his mom, he still felt connected to her because it's how they bonded with one another when he was growing up.
At the age of twenty-six, he received a call from his mom that his father had passed. He was sad to have lost his father but he felt like he had to be there for his siblings though because they were closer with one another while he was closer with his mother. He did the best he could in order to be there for them and his mother and it took a toll on him. Eventually, they were able to make it through but then things took a turn about six months ago in the summer of 2025. His mom fell ill and it took her quick. He wanted to do everything he could in order to keep her around but knew that it was not her wishes so he let her go even though it broke his heart.
When it came to the will, his mother had left her home to Brayden and he was so indecisive about what to do because he didn't want to sell it, but it was going to be hard to move into a home that belonged to his parents. Brayden ended up moving in during November 2025 and he has been trying to make the place his own even though it seemed hard. When moving to Windsor Bay, he fell out of love with cooking and he took a job as a barista.

barrett edwards grew up with three siblings on a farm just hours outside of windsor bay. they raised horses, so barrett has known how to ride for about as long as she's known how to walk. she did barrel racing for years, until she realized she just couldn't make a career out of it. it wasn't for a lack of talent or want, but she just couldn't put herself through that.
she went to college and after, she returned to help her family out on the farm until her big brother encouraged her to get there, to see something other than the torn they'd spent their whole lives in.
so, barrett did just that. she took the money she'd earned over the years of racing, and the money she'd saved up during every odd job she'd ever had, and moved to windsor bay. it was new, but close enough to visit home whenever she felt the ranch calling to her.
it was a no brainer when she saw a job posting for a horse trainer and tour guide at the sinclair ranch. it's been ten years since she said yes to the job offer, and it's been the best ten years of her life.

almost-something. within the ten years of her being there, barrett and this muse have almost been something more times than she can count. except every time they get close to something, she pulls back. it's been just her for so long that she's gotten comfortable with it.
friend(s). she's friendly, but kind of reserved. a friend could bring her out of her shell. maybe it's a newer friendship, or maybe they've been friends for years!
