Last night, after clear skies all week, a fuckign tornado warning goes off at seven. That was a lovely experience. 

justice:do you value fairness over mercy?

This one’s kind of difficult because of how I grew up - in Canada, where there has not been anyone executed for a capital crime in my lifetime and restorative justice is the dominant philosophy. There can be no fairness, no justice, without mercy. In a general, philosophical sense, I value fairness, but part of that is everyone starting from the same place. I just finished Origin in Death - the one with Avril Icove? - and I considered the resolution both fair and merciful.

That is probably a wishy-washy answer, but it’s the one I’ve got.
