At Window Installation Specialists, we had a conversation with a Pittsburgh homeowner recently about replacing their windows before selling their house. They weren't planning to move right away, but wanted to know if doing the windows now would actually be worth it.
It's a good question. Replacing every window just because you may sell in a few years isn't always the answer.
If your windows still open and close properly, seal well, and are in good condition, you may be better off leaving them alone. If they're drafty, difficult to open, fogging between the glass, or starting to show their age, that's a different story.
We'd rather take a look at your current windows before telling you they need to be replaced. Sometimes it's the whole house. Sometimes it's only a few problem windows. And sometimes there's no reason to replace anything yet.
