“Clyde” Winchedon, MA. Originally constructed in 1914 to celebrate Winchedon’s 150 anniversary this horse is a 4X replica of a Converse Company’s wooden rocking horse. #Winchedon’s early major industry was the construction of wooden toys earning the town the title of #ToyTown. . The original Clyde was moved to a nearby railway stop where it welcomed visitors for many years, and was again paraded as a float on the towns bicentennial in 1964. After that the original fell into disrepair.
