1. Most underrated 70s album?

Ok, as far as the fandom on tumblr goes, Queen II is definitely loved and appreciated, but I don’t think it really is in pop culture in general.So yeah, Queen II!!!!

8. Fave bass line?

I’m going to go for a not-so-obvious choice here: “My Baby Does Me”. It’s *so* simple but it’s SO gd funky and sexy without being cheesy and I just melt every time I hear it. A close second is “The Night Comes Down”.29. Current fave Queen song?

It’s still “Was It All Worth It” at the moment. The musical arrangement of that song is just….idk, it gets to me. And of course the lyrics are so emotional and beautiful and melancholy but hopeful.

42. “There Must Be More to Life Than This” or “Is This the World We Created”?

I’m going to go with “There Must Be More to Life Than This”. Back in the early 2010s when I discovered that demo with MJ that was leaked I absolutely fell in LOVE (this was the solo Michael version with Freddie’s little “ad lib” comment in the background…my mind was blown with how *Freddie* the song sounded and yet it was MJ singing). When they released the version of them singing TOGETHER??? I lost my shit. I absolutely prefer the piano mix on the Mr. Bad Guy release to the William Orbit thingy, but it’s missing Michael’s vocals which is a shame.(that being said, “Is This the World We Created” is gorgeous too and I love how that one was created)

48. If you could have any member on a modern day british panel show, which member and which show?

I took a course in Medieval through to Renaissance Sexuality in English Literature while I was in college, and my professor’s wife was like this HUGE history nerd and they had this giant house they had been restoring themselves for the last 40 years and they had collections of really rare manuscripts and other things which they lend to museums every now and then.

2. Favorite album?

Oh, this is tough...defintitely one from the 70s, because 70s Queen is just a whole other level of amazing to me. I’m going to say “Queen II,” it’s beautifully complex and wonderfully structured and lets me discover new things on each listen. “Night at the Opera” and “Sheer Heart Attack” are close contenders though.

3. Least Favorite album?

Hot Space. I don’t think it’s a bad album by any other group’s standards, I just don’t like it as a Queen album. I’ve ever listened to it all the way through in one sitting. It’s just not really engaging to me. I do adore “Las Palabras de Amor” and “Under Pressure” though.

25. Who introduced Queen to you?

You know what, I honestly couldn’t tell you. I’ve known about them for as long as I can remember. I probably picked up on them through my parents’ taste in music. I remember “Innuendo” being an album they played a lot...”Bijou” in particular was a song my Dad liked to listen to quite a bit, because he enjoyed the guitar on that track. I also remember him having the song ‘39 on one of his cassette tapes in our car when I was very young, but that was actually a funny case of me not knowing that was a Queen song until like....last year. Because Freddie wasn’t the one singing it.

Oh. Oh no….oh dear. That…is just very unfair. I love ALL of their voices. Maybe Roger??? Idk

5. Have you ever seen Highlander or Flash Gordon? 

I watched Flash Gordon years ago (worth it. Besides the soundtrack the soundtrack being fucking awesome – duh! –  there’s a very young and very hot Timothy Dalton playing a Robin-Hood-lookin-ass tree person or sth it’s wonderful)Never seen Highlander.

11. I’m In Love with My Car.  Love it or Hate it?

It’s fun and incredibly stupid. So, fully my brand. Love it.

17. Millionaire Waltz or Dreamer’s Ball?

This is fucking IMPOSSIBLE, who came up with these???? FUck. Ok. Musically, Millionaire Waltz (the piano and that guitar solo??? Breathtaking.), romantic feels-wise, Dreamer’s Ball (Brian May softly sing this to me at night during a thunder storm challenge.)

19. Do you want to be a penguin when you grow up?

If that means that I get Brian May to pay attention to me then yes.

For AMM: The Wall (1982)

The movie is a musical using the music from Pink Floyd's "The Wall" album. It focuses on a fictional rockstar named Pink, who's in the middle of an emotional and mental breakdown and is remembering/hallucinating the traumatic events of his life that brought him to that point.

Romantic relationships do play a key role in the movie, but they're generally not depicted positively and it's very possible to watch through the lens of Pink being aro.

Other warnings include graphic sexual content, depictions of WWII and Nazi imagery, blood and death, drug use and overdoses, misogyny, and violence.
