Yeah, this hasn't been the greatest year between me and my vehicles. Plural.
I got hit from behind by this older guy who had been driving like a bit of an idiot. Jerking his van around and following too close at times. I was following the flow of traffic and we all slowed for this guy who seemingly took fucking 10 business days to turn into his driveway. The idiot behind me didn't slow and smashed into my car at a good rate of speed. I was stunned and got the wind knocked out of me and I could feel it in my neck and back. Dude came up to my window and asked if I was okay and when I couldn't say anything, he booked it back to his vehicle and took off. This was my new to me car after a deer jumped out in front of me in late March and wrote my former car off.
I am lucky in both situations and as grateful as I am to still be upright and mostly functioning, I wish some of that luck could be used toward winning a lottery jackpot or something like that.
