Today was a bit of a rest day. Not going far by land, but going across the water once more! It began as usual with a push my bike up the hill first thing in the morning routine! I made it further than I thought before having to push, but some pushing was involved. Once to the top of the hill, it was pretty smooth sailing along the route . . . And back down the hill to the ferry terminal! There was one moment where I glimpsed a huge hill coming up, but luckily, my route turned sharply to the left toward the ferry. This time the ferry staff was courteous and showed me where to go. I wolfed down some breakfast (after having oatmeal before I left and an energy bar en route) and promptly stole their power! The ferry landed and I wen an easy 1km to my campsite. I set up, stocked up on supplies, and took in a few sights. I was planning on staying another day, but my campsite leaves a little to be desired. the showers are $1 for 4 minutes, and they didn't even have any loonies at the office! I managed to beg enough from the food stand up the street to have one 4 minute shower and one load of washing! Not a good impression after i paid $19 for a spot which i right in the middle of everything! So, I think I may as well head along tomorrow and see what's down the road! Now that I have clean clothes! 17.4km today, 174.34km total.
