Fantastic pandemic protocols example setting from all our guys today! Harry wore a cloth mask for his public outing, Liam Zoomed into his social activity, Louis reminded us to social distance, Niall continued to be the Martha Stewart of quarantine and make everyone else feel inadequate, and Zayn of course continued to be Schrodinger's perfect quarantiner: completely off the radar but it's easy to believe that he's isolating with the zeal only the introverts who have been waiting years for this can bring to it.
Harry got his first ever radio airplay number one song with Adore You this week! He was papped in LA masked up while having his permitted daily solitary walk, a perfect example of what people are being asked to do locally, and had a prerecorded interview air this morning that kept everyone very entertained all day, a welcome distraction. A dog barked in the background- in response to interviewer Olivia joking that it was a mysterious wild animal he was like heh I don't even know what dog that is, how did that get in, it doesn't even live here... Within hours Clifford was trending on twitter and the internet was overrun with memes and examples of labradoodle barks for comparison. Harry also got a little more specific about the whole being stuck thing saying, "flying doesn't sound great right now."
LTHQ kept up with fan engagement, continuing to remind us about the message wall we can submit to and posting a Louis playlist today, and Louis emerged right on time for his near daily check in, using it today to comment on "all these fucking idiots sunbathing at the park!" "Stay home and stay safe," he adds, very good: first identify the problem than offer a solution! He even praises a positive example of what to do, saying "fucking love that" about the Italian louies having balcony listening parties, he really would have been a fantastic teacher. May he be heard, he's absolutely right that sitting still in the same area as other people is absolutely useless in terms of infection prevention given what we currently know about transmission, even from a few meters away. Niall continues to overachieve, following every rule and demonstrating excellent staying at home form! He's keeping busy being silly with his roommate (his cousin Willie) playing a goofy version of PALLOM leaning on the 'all dressed up with nowhere to go' lyric, admitting he's bored but sticking it out anyway, dressing up to go on his shopping trip, and eating breakfast at 1 pm. He's also currently setting up to do home recording and collab via zoom and has upgraded his hallway golf from aiming at a toilet paper roll to a fancy premade golf thing. "Shit I was going to do exactly this at the end of the month" he said to a fan who started a playlist of his 30 day song challenge picks... I guess even Niall can't do it all.
Meanwhile, Liam took part in an ultra exclusive zoom concert for the Hollywood elite last night alongside some very big names. He performed a Sam Smith song, and his countdown to Midnight is getting closer and closer to release time...
