I personally don’t think Westworld is confusing. But I’ve heard people say things like, “Westworld is trying to be deep but it comes across as pretentious.” And I’ve seen people say that Westworld is too “Artsy” for the general public. I think it’s more… people don’t have the attention spans for it. In the sense that a lot of people like being able to do other things or get up and walk around. They’re so used to shows like TWD (1)

Where you can miss 5-10 minutes of an episode and still have a general idea of what’s going on. With Westworld you can’t do that. Your full attention has to be on it at all times (which is what I like about it, it’s mind candy), but most people don’t like the puzzles and mysteries. They just want instant gratification nowadays.

That is not a diss towards TWD btw. I like the show, I just mean it's not complicated. 

The Doctor was feeling adventurous. He’d set the controls to random and driven off, laughing and crashing the whole way there. He appeared in a desert somewhere, and followed the signs of civilization to a little town. 

“Love a little town,” he said to himself with a big smile, taking a step in. A little frontier town too! How marvelous! Even if...something didn’t feel quite right. He wasn’t sure what, but he knew the TARDIS always sent him where he needed to go. So maybe the not rightness was to do with something alien or timey wimey. He’d need to talk to the locals, ask if anything strange was going on. 

She only wished she could make sense of things - shaky breath mimicked that of someone who’d been so wracked with guilt, sorrow, pain. Some residual feeling that she just couldn’t understand, and it was almost as though she were expecting to just find the answer just by looking at him. But he wasn’t a part of her puzzle, no matter how much she might try to piece him in.  “ I . . . I don’t . . . ”   Hands began to shake.  “ Something’s wrong. ”

The skies held an angry shade of forest green and the air was rife with a palpable static energy. A line of severe storms, part of a cold front, were sweeping in from the north east and were destined to hit the hot weather from the South. Most of them provided the potential for tornadoes. Which was exciting and troubling at the same time.

While Tubbs adores studying the science behind weather phenomenon, she also realized storms like these could produce heavy destruction and numerous death. She too was placing her life and a lot of money on the line in the hopes that one day, tornadic activity could be predicted. If they could be predicted early enough, people could prepare and more would survive. 

Today’s conditions provided the perfect opportunity to get out and to study the powerful storms. But which one should they chase? For that she bows her experience towards the other.

            William had been sitting by the campfire, gently prodding at the logs with a stick when he heard Dolores’ quiet voice coming from behind. “So should you.” A kind smile spread across his lips when he saw her. “Did I wake you?” He curiously asked as he looked her over, taking note of the warm fire light as it danced across her beautiful porcelain skin. It had been a long day, but it would be an even longer one tomorrow and both of them desperately needed their sleep… except he had a lot on his mind.

“Nah.” She shook her head gently as she walked over and took a seat beside William. It was always nicer sitting beside him, especially with the campfire to keep them both warm. “Just can’t seem to keep my eyes closed for very long, is all. Been a while since I slept out under the stars like this.” Dolores watched him stoke the fire. The way the shadows flickered across his face--she wondered if it was more than firelight that caused those shadows.
