He waited at the door. He'd never stepped on this porch before, nor walked through this neighborhood. Salazar admired the room he could see through the open curtains, before finally knocking on the door with no true plan past what would happen next.

He could only wait, giving a shy smile to the person standing in the threshold. He said nothing, eyes cast low for a moment. 

The day she'd been taken had started out like a normal day, really. She'd woken up early to complete her chores, intent on pleasing her Master when he returned, as he'd gone out the previous day for some business. 

And then, suddenly, she heard them sneaking about while she was cleaning the kitchen, whispering, wands drawn. She recognized them, of course she did. But they would not listen when she begged them to let her go. She belonged here, she loved her Master. Still, kicking and screaming, they drug her out, until finally, someone cast a stunner, and she was left unconscious. 

For days, they asked her what had happened, questions about William, and for days she begged them to let her leave. She had to get back; he did not like it when she left him, did not like it when she was outside. 

And then, low and behold, they gave her a wand       her wand, and for a moment, a glimmer of her old self came shining through, and it was like something she'd been missing. She almost decided to stay      they fed her here, let her do magic. They didn't hurt her. 

But then, she remembered what he did to that girl, the one with the brown hair and wide blue eyes. Remembered that he knew she had a sister, a nephew. 

"Forgive me," she begged, looking at calming hazel eyes, hazel eyes she had once loved, still did. Hand shaking, she stunned him, unable to do more, before focusing on her Master's home, and apparating back. 

She nearly splinched herself in the process, she could feel her skin trying to tear itself away. But then, with a pop, she was outside his flat, banging on the door.
