Let me be brave enough not to fall on my knees and beg her to stay.’

The way Jamie is willing to sacrifice his body, his happiness, his life - everything - for those that he loves. Over and over again.

I know why the Jews and Muslims have nine hundred names for God; one small word is not enough for love.

For me, this little snippet from Claire’s letter to Bree is one of the most profound things Diana has ever written. God is love. And love is so much more than these four insignificant, over-used letters.

‘Mi gradhaich a, thu, athair,’ she whispered. My love to you, Father. He gathered her tightly against him, bent his head and kissed her forehead.

Jamie and Bree. Because duh.

They are indeed my favourite rarepair, but they’re sadly also a rare rare rare rarepair.

However, I think @outlanderrarepairs and @thelallybrochlibrary‘s Queerlander Prompt Exchange are going to change that! If I remember correctly, there are several writers who plan to write a story that features Jamie x John. Incidentally, I’m also one of those. Shameless self promotion: I’ll write a fic for @outlanderrarepairs which I talked about here and I claimed prompt #39 from the Queerlander Prompt Exchange.
