Ill try and remember everything i said but that post saying that jason is "stealing" selina's brand is a dumb take. no way around it. the whole stealing convo is dumb and im over it.
HOWEVER, even when playing by the rules they set, they completely gloss over shit that is OPENLY stated in the text.
the gotham war arc is kicked off by bruce and selina having different views on how to help and the criminal element, and you would not BELIEVE whose side jason's on.
you would not BELIEVE that jason is selina's right hand man.
you would not be able to FATHOM in any scenario, that it's jason who pays the highest price for going against bruce. which we understand is being on selina's side, helping her, actively putting into motion things he clearly AGREES with.
like at this point idek what to say. how people not only refuse to engage with the text analytically or metaphorically (because jason is at an obvious fork in the road here. he's got bruce on one end, and selina on the other, and he chooses to run towards selina) but they also seem to refuse to read the words on the page; in which bruce directly and openly declared for the ENTIRE AUDIENCE that jason and selina are similar.
these are 2 characters with similar backgrounds who are literally introduced as important to bruce THE SAME PUBLISHING YEAR 😭 (1983 to be exact, and yes she had been around longer but their relationship goes back as far as the 80s from what i have gathered) if they're coming across as similar it's because they fucking are and INTENDED TO BE!
jason very obviously thinks selina's way of thinking is right, we are introduced to him thinking this way in BOTH INSTANCES, and we know that jason would make the same decisions even with knowing the consequences.
