”You’re my girlfriend now,” a young Will said, the two of you were 5 and roaming around. “What’s that?” your asked him, Will shrugged, “I heard some older kids say it, look Elle!,” Will said using the nickname he gave you and pointing to a tree house. The two of you climbed up the steps and looked inside, “Looks empty,” you said sitting down, “It’s our hide out now,” Will said writing his name on one of the wood planks with a crayon.
Present Day: You sat down next to Will, giggling, “What are you giggling about?” he asked turning to you. “Guess who just asked me out,” you said, Will didn’t say anything, “Mark, well he didn’t just ask me out, he finally asked me to be his girlfriend,” you said excitedly. Will still didn’t say anything, in fact, he wasn’t even smiling anymore. “That’s great,” he said, but you couldn’t hear the sarcasm in his voice. “I know, so I can’t hang out later today because he’s taking me out. Is that okay?” you asked. Will sighed, “Whatever,” he said turning back to watch the movie your teacher started to play. It was lunch time and Will has been ignoring you since you told him about your news. Actually, he hasn’t talked to you all morning, and usually he has something to say.
Two Weeks Later: You and Will haven’t talked in two weeks and it’s been killing you. You called him to see what was wrong, but he’s never answered. You thought of anywhere he could be, then you remembered the tree house the two of you found when you were younger. You climbed up the steps and pushed open the door, “Hey, thought I might find you up here,” you said coming through and sitting on the bean bag chair. “I haven’t been up here in a long time, so why are you avoiding me?” you asked him. He just looked at you then looked back at his phone, “Will what did I do?” you whined. “I don’t like Mark,” he said, “Why not?” you asked crossing your arms. “I don’t think he’s right for you, Noelle,” Will said voice raising higher, “How do you know what’s right for me?” you shot back, standing up. “I just know,” Will shouted standing up also and moving closer, you scoffed, “You know nothing,” you said. “Oh shut up,” Will said grabbing you and crashing his lips against yours. You were shocked at first, but kissed back, when the two of you pulled away, you were out of breath. “Elle…” Will said, “I know, I’ve always known, and I’m jealous of him,” he said. You sat back down trying to think, “I need time to think,” you said quickly leaving, Will sighed and plopped down on the bean bag chair. You called Will after a while and explained to him the conversation you had with Mark. The two of you broke up because you realized your feelings for Will. You and Will started to develop a relationship.

Date: You both drive to a new city, create fake names and aliases, and do crazy things for the day: going to a restaurant and asking the chef to create a new dish, having the cashier at a vintage store pick out an outfit for each of you and wearing it all day, pretend to be engaged and tour an open house, etc!
