Remembering...Creepy Will!
No, not Will Savage. The other one.
Will Hackett, the living example of how being a child genius can have its disadvantages. Having been fast-tracked into Oxford in his teens, Will subsequently struggled to cope with the workload and was forced to drop out. This lead to him becoming angry and resentful, but he hoped that a fresh start at HCC would sort him out.
Sadly for Will, it wasn’t to be. After meeting fellow student, Zoe Carpenter, Will become obsessed with her and tried desperately to convince her to go out with him. She turned him down, opting to date Zak Ramsay instead, angering Will, who attempted to break them up. Will was eventually successful when he broke into Zoe’s room, stole some of her belongings, and pinned it on Zak. After this, Will was delighted when Zoe agreed to go out with him.
Several months later, Zoe was offered the opportunity to study in New York. Desperate to stop her from going, Will slammed her hand in the taxi door as she prepared to leave for the airport. As she had to go to the hospital, Zoe missed and her flight, and her chances of studying abroad where over.
Will’s obsessive behaviour continued and he set up cameras in Zoe’s room so he could spy on her. Whilst watching some of the footage, Will heard Zoe telling her friend, Jess, embarrassing and intimate details about their sex life, leading him to drug Zoe and make it look like she had overdosed.
Will was eventually rumbled when Zoe returned home and discovered him watching footage of her he had secretly recorded. Will locked Zoe in the flat and attempted to explain how he had only done it because he loved her. A struggle broke out and Will took Zoe onto the college roof.
As Will dangled Zoe over the edge, he was spotted by Zak, who raced up to the roof. Will was eventually talked into letting Zoe go and after threatening to jump off the roof himself, was sectioned.
Will Hackett's 'stalking his girlfriend' storyline was far superior to Will Savage's 'stalking his girlfriend' storyline. They should bring that guy back.
Am I the only person who thinks that there's a bit of an uncanny similarity in Hollyoaks between characters called Will?
Anybody remember Will Hackett (the original crazy psycho Will) spying on, and manipulating, Zoe? Granted he didn't go quite as far as to kill her, but he was still a complete nutter!
