Karl Maria Wiligut’s Armenen Rune Correspondences. Wiligut didn’t actually use Scandinavian source material, but rather adhered faithfully to Guido Von List’s research. Von List’s runes were received oracularly, and from a magical point of view contain several fatal flaws. For one he pays special attention to algiz, which he calls Ar, eagle, a protective sign in his system. Yet the symbolism of the eagle is typhonic in teutonic mythology, being the devourer of souls, light, heat, and youth. In the elder futhark algiz represents scorpio, in it’s function of sacral kingship, power, sacrifice, as well as orgasimic energy, not evil yet not all together fruitful (the helm of awe is without negative connotations). Ari, the sacred word of arianism, enumerates to 13, which is also, albeit superstitiously, attributed to death. Even the arianist symbol svartsunna, or black sun, is an unlucky symbol. Being made of 12 consecutive sowilo runes, using the lindholm amulet cipher we see that the twelve reduce to two runes, sowilo and jera. Sowilo and jera, seem harmless indepently, yet these represent the sun and moon, which in astrology always cancel each-other out, especially unlucky seeing as it depicts a solar eclipse.
