"Isn't that just being nice to people?" he asked, not really following the logic for that one. Surely the right thing to do was to be kind to people? That was what his parents had taught him to believe. Kindness first, and everything else could happen afterwards. "Besides, who wants to make enemies?" and he had enough of those back home. Not that those people ever knew Clark was their enemy, but he had kept the secret identity for a reason.

"What?" it was an odd statement, one he hadn't expected. But hearing the words he had turned, about to ask if they knew each other when the words died in his throat. Oh he knew her, those strange dreams that made no sense. Dreams about Snow White, but why he had those dreams he hadn't figured out. The fact that the woman in his dreams hadn't been his wife had been strange enough, but he had just assumed it was a figure of his imagination. But now she was standing there, what was happening? "I'm sorry, that was rude... I... do we know each other?" and why did her words make so much sense?

"Can't be nothing then" that was physically impossible... or literally... well she had never claimed to be the smart one. That been Taranee, and god she missed her right now. She'd likely have some idea of what was going on here. "If it's that important then might not be worth letting go of. Must be important" or therapy was needed, that might be rude to say, even for her.

Well that was horribly upsetting to hear, and it seemed very unfair as well. A little guarded perhaps but hardly a monster. There was hardly anything wrong with being sensible, she had been doing that her entire life though she supposed in a very different way. "People always think silly things" that she had known from a young age. "Though I don't believe you're a monster".

If there was one thing Jenny had always loved, it was performing. She was good at it, knew how to put on a show. She had only given it up in her past life because the orphanage had needed someone else to run it, and she and Topher had been good at it. Well that and it stopped anything bad happening to those sweet children, which was also a pretty high risk. Here though, here she got to sing again, climbing down off the stage after her performance. "Oh darling, you couldn't order me a drink could you? I'm utterly gasping for one".
