Ok so ismabard brunel is haunting me, and I think it's Stings(the musician) fault.
I do a lot of wikihopping. Going from article to article and when I find something interesting I wanna read but am not ready for, I open it in a new tab to read later. I have so many tabs open that I broke free at 99 and currently have an infinity symbol of tabs.
Today I idly thought, I should listen to some sting, and as I was building a sting play list I came across the ballad of the great eastern. And im like woah wait that was an actual ship. So I listen to it and not bad. It implies that isambard Brunel sold his soul to Satan to get this ship made and that two people were sealed in the double hull. And I was like, I didn't think double hulls had enough space between them for a body. So I set off to read about the great eastern. From what I gather there is not enough room for a body to fit between the hulls unless you flatten it first. And i was satisfied.
So I went back to my previous open tabs and clicked on one about underwater explosions to deepen and widen a waterway in NYC. I think i opened it two days ago. And there, halfway down the page was the great eastern and her owner isambard Brunel. And i had feeling of cold up my spine, followed by am empathetic what the FUCK.
And im like haha what a coincidence.
So I got two weeks back in my tags and im reading about the great exhibition in London in 1851 and the construction of the crystal palace and not even 1/4 of the way down the page, there he is, that fucker, Isambard Brunel.
So I shout at my phone stop being historically reverent in areas of history I am interested in and killed every tab I had open. Do I want to close 241 tabs? Not really. Am I freaked out that if I keep reading isambard Brunel is going to just show up unending? Yes yes I am.
And really I have seen his name before, have read about his work. I knew who he was. I had interest in his ship, which is why I listened to the sting song. But motherfucker is stalking me through the pages of Wikipedia and I will not stand for that.
