Things nobody tells you about Birmingham public transport
- Dale End and Dale House are the same bus stop. Not sure why Google maps calls it by a different name than literally every bus announcement and driver
- Moor Street is like Chuck Norris, it goes by a thousand different names. The announcement will say "Albert Street" (if you're lucky enough to even get an announcement) and the bus stop sign will say "Albert Street (Moor Street)" in tiny writing and you just have to keep your eyes (or Google maps) open and figure it out
- The letters e.g. Stop MS23 (for Moor Street) are usually an indication of what bus stop complex this particular bus stop actually belongs to, even if it has a completely different name
- Walsall City Centre to Leamore: If you're trying to take the 29 to Lower Farm (as that's what Google maps says), it is now called 29 to Bloxwich, and the bus driver will say he's not going to Lower Farm and send you to a different bus but still stops at all the stops you need to go to. It's just called something else again
- Accessible toilets in the city centre (for claustrophobia + arthralgia) include The Square Peg (Wetherspoons directly by the bus stop of the same name - which is usually so busy that no one will notice you), Bullring, Birmingham airport, Sol Café
- Google Maps is often wrong (sometimes it shows buses as departing up to 5 minutes later than they actually do, or shows buses that don't even exist). Before an important event, you should always take the same connection a week before on the same day and see if it's correct. Alternatively check the timetables on the internet (the ones at the bus stop can be wrong too)
