Over the past fortnight I’ve visited some particularly pleasant places, so I’d like to drop a few lines about them.
I finally made my way to the storied Cafe Cenrtal. The atmosphere there was indeed charming, thought, to my taste, a little bit to fussy. Closer to the nine o’clock, however, the crowd seemed to thin, which entailed the reduction of hum, and it became possible to enjoy the pianist’s performance (which was a great surprise for me). I went for the classics — apple strudel with cappuccino. Both were pretty delicious, so I was truly contented with them.
It is a peculiar feeling to sit at the table where, a century ago, Trotsky with Lenin might have argued over coffee, only for Freud to take the same seat once they were gone.
Before this delightful evening I had wandered through the park near my lodging. It’s a lovely, unhurried place, filled with birds and winter-soft greenery.
The weather has been quite warm these past days, even the sun shows itself from time to time :)
