i hate to admit it, but my kalanchoe has not been doing the best.
i got this widows thrill back in march:
(i got it repotted soon after and it lives in a much lighter place than in the photo)
and itās since lost all its flowers.
recently though, itās not been doing very well.
itās bottom leaves all went yellow and had to be removed.
i did a lot of research and it said it could be root rot, but i know this is almost definitely not the case because it has so much drainage.
however, i also found out kalanchoes need lots and lots of light, and iām fairly certain that was the issue.
my whole room gets LOTS of light, seeing as one of my walls is just entirely window, so i didnāt think the placement of my plants really mattered. but, looking into this, where my kalanchoe was placed is (whilst still being very light) the darkest spot it couldāve been in.
iāve removed all the dead leaves and moved it to a spot on my windowsill, where iāll keep a good eye on it. as well as this just in case it is root rot i only misted it instead of properly watered it.
if worst comes to worst iāll get a cutting from it and just grow a new kalanchoe.
if anyone has any advice donāt hesitate to tell me!
