i’ve used both so here’s a rough comparison.

bumble: what i like about it is that you’ve got more discovery options. there’s the ‘romantic relationship’-esque swiping but there’s the bff option (which is gr8 for me who just moved back to a city and have very few friends within the same city). i’ve not really made any ‘real’ relationships on it because i just recently started using it again and actually messaging people. this is key since on bumble, ladies message matches first. that’s daunting for me bc i’m awkward af and never know what to say but the time limit on matches kind of forces you to or else you lose the match. when you match with someone, you have 24hrs to message them or else it expires. you can extend it and rematch again or your match can extend it in the hopes that you message them (if ur the lady). i’ve not tried the rematching/extending and don’t know if it’s a paid thing or if there’s a max # of times one can extend. if i (a girl) message a match, they have 24 hrs to reply as well or the convo expires. the whole time limit thing freaked me out at first bc i’m always scrambling for something to say but now that i think about it, it’s kind of nice? since it kind of drags me out of my shell. tbh bumble feels less  hook up-y than tinder.
