despite knowing there wasnât a single flaw to his faux appearance --- he still felt like people could see right through him. as if they could see through the shift. he knew it was impossible, he hadnât missed a single detail. the only thing he actually lacked was the speed, so he was praying no one asked him to run across the country in five seconds or something stupid like that. heâd thought about shifting into tommy but the idea of becoming billyâs twin, even momentarily was --- strange. uncle was easier, plus pietroâs stature wasnât really that different from his own. as he moved down the hall, no one blinked twice. he only prayed he didnât run into another family member --- or worse, wanda. sheâd see through it. he knows she would.Â
kicking the nervous flutter of thoughts from his brain, teddy knocks on the door with a few little raps of his knuckles before pushing inside, desperate to get out of sight from the hallway. âhey, wow, hope this isnât awful timing.â was this going to be as terrifying every time? would there even be a next time --- certainly not if he got caught.Â
