Shadow life. _______ Why do you follow me here? Why do I follow you? Why do we follow anyone? Just thinking about these things after hemorrhaging followers this weekend. What a strange few months it has been on social media. I am not sure I have anything to offer you. I am just being me here, showing up as I can. It’s an interesting idea, I guess, not playing into the “influencer model” and using this platform to foster real human connection. It’s where my heart is. It means I don’t always have a plan, because people are people, and we need different things on different days. It means I don’t play the follow-for-follow game, because I would rather spend my energy on people who are HERE and not hung up on their own vanity metrics. It means I follow people I want to know, and I am careful about the voices I allow into my sphere. It also means I really do want to learn about you and how you human.
