A group of characters rushing into a beautifully appointed drawing room or parlour with a wounded, bloodied companion supported amongst them, leaving muddy and bloody footprints across immaculate rugs, depositing the injured character on a sumptuously upholstered sofa that is soon discoloured with bloodstains and tearing down swathes of elegant curtains and draperies as the nearest fabric to staunch the bleeding.

A character is injured such that it takes them far longer than expected to travel somewhere, or they are injured en route, so that they are very late and the person they were supposed to meet is highly annoyed when they do arrive, apologising profusely for being late but not explaining why they were- until their injury becomes obvious and the angry character experiences an immediate pivot of emotions.

Positioning an injured character with pillows and rolled up blankets, or packs or a saddle or whatever gear is to hand, so that their injuries are supported and they're able to rest as comfortably as possible without inadvertently shifting or having to hold position themselves.

Moisture- blood, tears, water dripping from sodden hair- combining with grime on a character's face as it runs down to leave pigmented tracks streaked across their face in its wake.

The sort of kiss that's not so much an actual kiss but more one character pressing the entire lower half of their face fervently into another character's hair and firmly against their skull beneath for an extended moment, all desperation, no delicacy, but with a rough tenderness nonetheless.

The crash and clatter heard from another room of a character collapsing, falling out of bed, knocking something over, stumbling into something, that sends the other character(s) dashing into the room to investigate the commotion.

A character, with the best of intentions, keeping another away from an ill or injured character, under the impression that they're enemies or angry with each other and they're protecting the vulnerable character- not understanding why the ailing character is then so restless or distressed, and the ill/injured character confused as to why the other character, whom they'd expect to visit them or at least be concerned enough to have some communication, hasn’t done so.

An incredibly sleep-deprived character, in desperate need of sleep, to the point they keep involuntarily nodding off, but they're in this state because up 'til now they absolutely couldn't allow themself to sleep- because they had to monitor or care for another character, because they had to keep watch or wait for a signal or message, because they had to keep moving or succumb to the cold, because they were in a precarious situation where if they fell asleep they might lose their grip or balance, whatever the reason- so every time they begin to fall asleep they jolt awake in a panic, forgetting it's alright to do so now.
