Hmm, I guess I’m on the side that I don’t feel like Persona 5 is a great game, or even that good of a game when I think about it now, nearly a year later. It has a lot of flaws (mostly in the writing and pacing), and it hurts the game quite a lot to replay and see a lot of the flaws. I’m more critical of P5 than of P4 because P4 can be forgiven thanks to budget cuts and limited time to make it.Whereas P5 had 5-6 years of time to develop and the end result is…questionable. So it begs to ask what exactly happened. Why is half the cast written so well and the other half written like uncooked spaghetti? Why weren’t some of the elements presented in-game used more frequently? or even made a mechanic to use and experiment with? why are the social links still so ass after so long? (This is the series’ 3rd attempt and still they can’t grasp the idea well enough). I could go on, but I feel like P5 needs a complete revamp for it even reach the pinnacle of the other Persona games. Yes even 4.
