Today is the International Day of People With Disabilities, and sadly even in 2018 we still have a long way to go. In an era of people fighting for equal rights, disability is always the rights that get left out/forgotten when this happens. From lack of changing places, lack of accessibility, people putting suitcases in spaces for wheelchair users on trains (then refusing to move them!), to being left ON trains, to even people grabbing us and our chairs/equipment without asking if we even needed help in the first place! It's time we took control and were finally listened to, because we're not going anywhere, and we make up 1/3 of the world's population! We are people, we are human, we are equal. We are just like you.
