first and foremost: this was our last inbox run on wednesday! from now on, we'll be switching to a monday & friday inbox schedule!

secondly, a reminder that our activity check will be coming SOON! it will be posted next monday, so you have until then to meet activity!

thirdly: we have an event coming up! more details will be posted soon, but we hope you're all ready for it!!!

as some of you have noticed, we previously had an unofficial vraelgard discord server for members to join and meet others in the community! previously, we had not planned on having an official server, but after community feedback, we have decided to make a new official server. you are not required to join the server, but a link will be available on the blog to join, and for now you can find it HERE!!

please note that this is a new server, and if you were in the previous server, you won't be in this one yet!

last but not least, we have two new assistants for our moderator team, and we would like to thank everyone for applying! for now, i'll allow the assistants to introduce themselves!!

Hello! I’m one of the new assistants here at Vraelgard. You may know me around here as Vix, but you can also call me Phyllobates. I use she/they pronouns, and can be contacted on @vivixacious on twitter!

I write Miriam Shushkevich (OC) here already, and am also taking the role of our lovely NPC the Marquis Phyllobates (they/them). You may also remember me as Netzach (Lobotomy Corporation). 

Given Marquis Dragonfly’s unplanned and rapid retirement, Phyllobates has been handpicked as a replacement for the aging Marquis. There’s rumors the Marquis’s health has been failing as of late due to poison...peculiar, but he requested Phyllobates be his replacement.

Phyllobates is a rather young noble in comparison to their uncle, presenting to the world with an airy, nonchalant sort of view. They’re easy to spot, given their propensity for vibrant color choices, as well as their habit for being a social butterfly. Standing at 6′2 and as thin as a whisper, Phyllobates’ most notable trait is the rainbow spectrum of freckles spotted across their face and body. On top of that, they’re vibrant makeup choices allow them to live up to their poisonous name, in a spectacular display of aposematism. They wear a lot of light, airy clothes, also in bright colors. Surprisingly though, they don’t seem to clash... 

I’m thrilled to be here, and hope that I can help bring a lot of life to Vraelgard. I look forward to working for you all

Hey everyone, V here back at it again with introducing myself really badly! You can also call me Vee, or Xevin, or nerd, those all check too. I go by they/them pronouns, and the best place to catch me is on discord: V!#5504 or my current muses through IM or ask! 

I’ve been around for a little bit first as Yuffie Finalfantasy, then Akihiko Persona, now Deadpool Marvel and Aaravos Thedragonprince, but now that I’m on the team I’ll also be occasionally writing the very tired, very busy Reaper Xevin! I love medieval fantasy, music turned up too loud, and playing videos james until 6 in the AM.

Xevin’s been a reaper for A While, and he’s still waiting on that promotion... though it probably won’t happen because his partner is nigh on uncontrollable when he’s not around. Xevin is a super hard worker: genuinely enjoys paperwork and logistics just as much as he dislikes casual, friendly socializing. He’s very much a to the point, by the books sort of guy, always willing to do overtime if it means the job’s done right. That’s probably how he got roped into dealing with this new role in the first place, Xevin is just convinced it’s a sort of initiation - the first step toward that promotion he’s been working to. He’s always dressed in black and white, always wearing a high-necked shirt and glasses, and there’s always some carefully styled white hair covering his left eye for reasons unknown to anyone other than his partner. His whole look and vibe is just Edgy Business Man, and you can spot him a mile away.

I can’t wait to help out the Vraelgard team, and any of y’all if you ever need anything! Here’s to some fun times and some funner memes!! (raises my glass of orange juice like gatsby in that one scene)

Oh, god, Scott had actually said that out loud. To a total stranger. He’d blame the alcohol, but that has no effect on him, plus--and more importantly--he hasn’t even had a drink in the first place. So now he’s just rude. Wonderful.

“Uh. Sorry. You just seemed...” Weirdly focused on making what looks like a simple drink for at least five minutes longer than needed. That’s maybe not the best response to give, so he clears his throat and switches right over to, “Are you like, a pro?”
