What is Perfect?
Nothing. Everything and everyone is flawed but does that always have to be a bad thing? Flaws like hunger, poverty, and chipped nail polish are all bad and should be fixed. But, flaws like being over a size 4, pale, or not being a fan of working out, etc. (these are based on society’s ideas about flaws as it relates to their perception of beauty, not me personally), are only flaws if we believe they are flaws. Nobody is perfect in the flawless sense of the word but we are all perfect in the flawed sense of the word.
It’s okay to hurt . I had to learn that . It’s okay to be alone . I had to learn that too . But it is pretty cool to be in love with someone whom you feel is just perfect despite what imperfections they have .
What's Perfect
Anne Marie's new song, 'Perfect to me' did not only make me dance on my feet and scream "YAAASSS RELATABLE AF!" But it made me think, think about the question 'what is indeed perfect to me?' And why does society have these stereotypes regarding what is perfect and what's not? "I am okay with not being perfect cause that's perfect to me" I do have some stereotypes myself because as a teenager at some point I have thought that having the ideal Barbie body is perfect even though I know deep down that, that doesn't matter, what matters is who I am as a human being; but when society looks at you in a certain way you can't help but think about what being perfect to the society is. But I try and try to keep these fucking stereotypes as far away from mind as possible because all they do is give me anxiety and life is too short to think about others. Perfect to me is also little moments, little moments of joy that we share with the people we love. With whom I can not only be myself but also be my crazy, weird and vulnerable self! Perfect to me is an evening with a good book that will tear my heart in pieces and stamp on it but I know it's worth the tears and runny nose. Being who you are is perfect. You don't have to look good, you don't even have to be a great person, just be you and be happy and loving. What perfect means to me, to my parents, to you, to Anne Marie, to Bella Hadid, to Harry Styles, to a nine year old maybe totally different but all of them ate valid and have their personal touch to it. Because of course how can my perfect be your perfect and vice versa. A cliche but I have to say, nothing (well except for maybe Oreos) and nobody is perfect society and by that I mean us people have set these bars ourselves of what perfect means. We all have our own meaning of perfect and that's what makes you perfect.

I think being perfect is being yourself. Don't let other people bring you down.
