She had barely gotten any sleep. Any sound her home made woke her up, and Ewa found herself on her feet, walking through her home, the silver dagger out in front of her, ready to attack. But it was always nothing. She had finally moved to her bed and tried to sleep, but it wouldn't come. So she laid there, watched her window, waiting to see the break of day. When the sun finally began to rise and she saw the shadow from her house building on her front lawn, Ewa got out of bed and quickly changed. Her pants were still covered in blood and dirt and  she still had no shirt on. She went into her bathroom and scrubbed herself clean before getting dressed and grabbing all medical supplies she could find. She looked down at everything and wondered why the hell she had all these, they had to have them at the Astra home. She rolled her eyes at herself and put them back, but found an old remedy her parents had made that numbed an area, only on open wounds. She shoved it into her purse before leaving her house and looking for her car.

Slapping her forehead, she remembered she left it at the bar she and Carmen had gone to the night before. Sighing, she began to walk, towards the Astra home, where she knew Phoenix had to be by now. Even if he hadn't understood her, she had to help him. Well, and get her shirt back.

Tilting her head to the side, Ewa couldn't help but examine herself in the mirror. It wasn't that there was something wrong with her appearance. No, Ewa looked just as hot as she did any other night going out. Her was was long and curly, her eyes perfect with a smokey black shadow, her tight jeans and tank top showing off each curve perfectly. She finally could wear her silver jewelry without having to worry about hurting anyone she didn't mean to, which meant her ring and necklace added to her look. All she needed was her leather heeled boots and leather jacket and she would be set for a night on the town. But that wasn't why Ewa stood looking at herself. No, there was something new about her. She wasn't the same she she was a month ago, well, almost a month. No, this Ewa was changed. All because of Phoenix.

As his name came across her mind, Ewa found herself smiling like a little girl. Who would have ever thought that Ewa Rusczcyk would end up falling in love, ever? Let alone with the Alpha of the Astra pack. Her parents had basically tried to train her to want a demon and a demon only, killing her trust in other species, reminding her of what they had once done to her. But no, Phoenix wasn't like that. She had been wrong for so many years, they didn't hate her. People only disliked her because she made them, to keep herself safe. But Phoenix was the perfect example of the fact that people didn't really hate her, that they actually cared about her.

Lindsey had been fighting the newborn wolves and had killed quite a lot of them. She was still struggling with her humanity, which was trying to come to the surface but her werewolf nature wouldn't allow it. Lindsey had seen Pherick as well as other Astra pack members, and saw they had been fighting the unknown werewolves as well, slaughtering all the ones they could, as well as some of the residents which she had recognized, but couldn't exactly remember.

Lindsey didn't know how long it had been. She had been napping in her cage when she came to and knew something was wrong. Her cage was open, but she was still a wolf and she was sure it was still a full moon. Her humanity was gone, she was just a monster now. The door should have been locked, but why wasn't it? Curiosity got the better of her, and she crawled out of her cage, in awe of the different atmosphere created right away with a few mere steps outside her cell.

Excitement quickly got the better of her, and Lindsey didn't hesitate as she bolted out the open door, not taking notice to the fact that some were still in their cells, sleeping, and some were gone. Lindsey soon made it outside and howled at the moon but her howl was cut short when the sense of danger quickly arose. Something was wrong, her territory, the Astra pack's territory was invaded.

It was that time of the month again. Lindsey waited outside the Astra facilities, making sure everyone was there. She saw that they were. Phoenix was the only one missing, though. He usually came last anyway. Lindsey opened up the facilities and escorted everyone inside, and they all headed into their cells. She closed their cells after them, but didn't lock them. That was Phoenix's job. She headed into her own cell and closed it and took off her clothes. She didn't want to ruin them when she phased, and wrapped herself in a towel which would obviously simply fall off once she phased. She had learned that this was the best way to handle her current situation, since privacy was very limited. 

Lindsey sighed and sat on the floor, waiting. This was always the worst part, knowing what was coming and not being able to stop it, not being able to have a choice of choosing whether or not to shift and even worse, losing yourself altogether. Lindsey would no longer be Lindsey under the full moon. Her thoughts would be clouded by the monstrous creature that she would become.

The usual squabble about of the pack was replaced with absolute silence. Just as Lindsey wondered where Phoenix was, she saw him burst into the room, looking at all the cells before stopping at hers. She looked up at him, and remembered once again, of their first time shifting. She gave him a smile, which he responded to with a small smile and a nod, and walked into his cell, pressing the button that locked them in. Lindsey sighed and waited.
