Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 onion, chopped. 1 green bell pepper, chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes. 1 can 14.5 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed. 1 can 14.5 oz black beans, drained and rinsed. 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce. 1 cup beef broth. 1 tablespoon chili powder. 1 teaspoon ground cumin. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano. Salt and pepper to taste. Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sliced green onions, sour cream.
Instructions: Over medium heat, brown the ground beef in a large pot. Cut up the onion, green pepper, and garlic and add them to the pot. For about 5 minutes, cook until the vegetables are soft. Don't forget to add the oregano, cumin, chili powder, kidney beans, black beans, tomato sauce, oregano, and cumin. Add pepper and salt to taste. Once the chili starts to simmer, turn down the heat to low and let it cook for about 30 minutes, stirring every now and then. If you want, you can serve it hot and top it with sour cream, shredded cheese, or sliced green onions.
