Etymology: D. wellingtoni sp. nov. is named in honour of Cliff Ross Wellington of Ramornie, NSW, Australia in recognition of his many services to herpetology in Australia, spanning many decades including his strong stance against taxonomic vandalism and its negative impacts on wildlife conservation, both globally and locally within Australia. He has also written numerous recovery plans for governments for numerous threatened or endangered species. DRACO (DRACO) WELLSI SP. NOV.
