Tbh Iāve always felt like Magi could do without any romance at all, though Morās feelings didnāt surprise me. I totally get that & personally feel it was kind of unfair towards Hakuryuu as well OTL Itās a bit like reducing her to the role of a lover, just following what the deceased loved one would have wanted. Though admittedly, Mor probably wouldnāt do it if she disagreed with Alibabaās vision.
I donāt think Ryuu was that much shaken by Morās admission and he doesnāt show it. First of all Iām pretty sure he already knew that so it didnāt come out asĀ shocking news, second I think he put any possible romantic situation aside for the moment (thank god for this) given the fragile situation heās in and last Iām not sure heās still that much enamored.
Of course Mor wouldnāt have done it if she disagreed with Alibabaās vision, but old Mor would have said Iāll watch over you because I think itās the right thing to do, imho there was no need to add just like how Alibaba-san did if not for shipping reasons
