The Towerâs ground floor is empty and the desk where usually two or three (very attractive) reception ladies are sitting is deserted but Bucky didnât expect anything else: itâs Christmas, after all, and the workers and businessmen of Stark Industries are at home and celebrate with their family. Itâs one of the reasons why Bucky decided to take the main entrance this time (because he usually doesnât like the busy atmosphere and prefers the back entrance), Jarvis being a nice pal and opening the huge doors for him when he waved at the surveillance system. (Buckyâs not sure why the AI is so friendly most of the time -- is it because he is a thing of his own or because Stark programmed him this way?)
Anyway, now Buckyâs standing next to an enormous fir tree covered in little ornaments that are shaped like Iron Man helmets (seriously, Stark), looking at the elevator that is inviting him with opened doors. He casts a glance at the two gifts in his hands and then puts them on the floor of the lift before he takes a step backwards. His present for Steve might be a bit selfish (because Bucky himself is the companion) but he really hopes that his friend is going to like the ticket for a 30s festival with food and music and a general old (and hopefully familiar) atmosphere. Bucky sure as hell is looking forward to it.Â
As for Stark itâs been difficult;; firstly Bucky considered to just give him nothing at all but then this would be rude, heâs Steveâs boyfriend and therefore an important part. But what the hell do you give a guy who already has everything or who can simply buy half the world? So Bucky assumed everything would suck no matter what, but the main point is that he thought of him, so thereâs that, right? He knows that Stark likes (the absolutely terrible and horrible band) AC/DC and therefore got him a t-shirt (he probably already possesses, but hey, heâs always covered in grease, he does need several shirts).Â
âHey, Jarvis? Can ya bring this up to them?â -- âCertainly, Mr Barnes.
Donât you like to visit properly? The turkey is ridiculously big, I doubt
even Captain Rogers will be able to eat up.â Bucky shakes his head,
turning around to leave again. âNah, pal, I just came here to be Santa
Claus. Merry Christmas, Jarvis.â -- âMerry Christmas, Mr. Barnes.â
