I think people these days are too concerned with coming off as "needy" or "desperate" when in reality, that's how we're programmed to be (in moderation of course). Humans crave the comfort and approval of other humans; that's natural. However, I've noticed that this generation has almost become obsessed with seeming detached and "not giving a single fuck". Since when did it become so wrong to just say how you feel? Or show someone that you care? It seems as if we associate caring and expressing our feelings as weakness. But in my opinion, that's what takes the most courage. Putting yourself out there, taking a risk, that's what's courageous. It seems that nowadays, we have a warped vision of what strength and independence is. I think real strength is being able to admit that you aren't strong all the time. That sometimes you need someone to lean on.
